Bangladeshi film actor and Villain Shimul Khan is a comparatively new face in the Bangladeshi film industry, and got popularity within a short period among spectators and film makers by his strong participation as a villain. He started his journey as a ramp model in Bangladeshi entertainment industry. Shimul got his first popularity in the film industry through acting in the character of Rocky in the film "Dehorokkhi" directed by Iftekhar Chowdhury.

Bangladeshi actor Shimul Khan is now under contract of seven new Bangla films. Notable among them are "Most welcome 2", "The Story Of Samara", "Terrorist" – directed by Mostafizur Rahman, "Desha - The leader"- directed by Shoikat Nasir "One way" – directed by Iftekhar Chowdhury, "Nekra Oronno" -  the government invested movie directed by Maruf Hossain and "Weipoka" – directed by animation company Illusionist and Shimul is hopeful about these movies.
When asked why he wants to be a villain, six feet tall Shimul Khan said, “Everyone wants to be a hero so my choice is bit different. I want to be a hero in both positive and negative way.”
